Before you report

Three checks that resolve most API issues.

  • Confirm the key is activeA 401 means the key is missing, revoked or malformed — not that the service is down.
  • Re-read the error bodyEvery failure returns a machine-readable type and a human message. Compare it with the status code table.
  • Check the model IDA 404 usually means the model was retired or the ID has a typo. The catalog is the source of truth.

  • Can I try PrByCode before buying?

    New account trials depend on current availability. Sign in to see the access options available to your account.

  • Which API format does PrByCode support?

    PrByCode exposes an OpenAI-compatible API, so most existing clients only need a new API key and base URL. An Anthropic-compatible messages endpoint is available for clients that use that shape.

  • Which tools are supported?

    Any client that accepts a custom OpenAI-compatible base URL can connect to PrByCode.

  • How do I check my usage?

    The developer console centralizes request, token, key, and billing information when connected to your account.

  • Are model IDs stable?

    Use the model catalog and API reference as the source of truth. Changes are communicated before an identifier is retired.

  • Is PrByCode affiliated with model vendors?

    PrByCode is an independent API gateway and does not claim endorsement by third-party model providers.
